So the doc looked at it (my thyroid gland) and didn't know what to think. She had the lab draw blood to test for thyroid function, and she gave me a referral for an ultrasound. It's still swollen, and it's still uncomfortable, but it's not a tragedy or anything. I haven't been able to get through to schedule the ultrasound yet. I keep getting a recording saying the scheduling line is closed. I guess they've forgotten to reset the phones this morning. Not very handy. David's first day back at work started before 6 am and ended after 10 pm. They are getting things ready for the upcoming deployment, in about 8 weeks. One thing about the Army - whatever day they say he's going to leave, it won't be that day. It'll be two days after, or the week before, but it won't be that day. That wacky Army! I'll update more later, if there's any news.

After repeated attempts, someone answered the phone. My appointment is for next Wednesday. We'll see if they find anything of interest then.
