2006-01-12 - 3:49 p.m. Well, when I got home at 3 pm yesterday, the fence was up. I let the dog out, and left her out when I returned to work. I'm probably overinvested in the damn dog, but hell, I know I wouldn't want to wait nine hours to pee. One of my responsibilities is to send out the monthly electronic newsletter. We solicit articles for this from our trainers. One sent us an article this morning that was sixteen pages long. I have no idea what this woman was thinking, but there is no way I'm sending 3,000 people an email like that. The damn thing's too long even without it. Furthermore, when I looked the article, it was filled with typos, formatting errors, and odd line breaks. (She probably rushed it to get it to us by the deadline.) We'll fix it and post it on the web site later. I'm supposed to get a laptop for the other half of my job, the asthma project, but I'm still waiting for it, months later. First we had to get it approved, now I'm waiting for the IT guy to, I don't know, wave his magic wand over it. (Oh, what an unfortunate choice of phrases.) Anyway, I'll call him later today to ask him how soon I might have it - I need it to finish an audit. My Secret Santa gave me a small basket with some cookies, candy canes, and a few bags of Christmas Eve tea. It's just yummy, so when I saw I was running low, I got online at Stash Tea and bought some more, along with small amounts of a few other teas. Since two of them were also loose teas, I also got a very cute infuser. Yum, yum! I bought the Osmanthus tea solely because I love osmanthus shrubs, no relation, but it turns out to be very very good. I bought two other kinds of "Christmas" teas - Christmas Morn and White Christmas. Those are both good, but neither of them hold a candle to Osmanthus. If you like tea, you should try this place - it's great.
