Okay, so David got away on Saturday, and has called twice since then. They're not quite in Afghanistan yet, but will be soon. This is the fourth deployment we've gone through. Once he's gone I miss him, but it's easy enough to get settled into a new routine.
I did very little this weekend, mostly relaxed. I picked up the living room a little, and did some shopping. I watched a movie last night. I got a new car seat cover for the dog, but it smells strongly of vinyl, so it's airing out on the front porch.
I'm going to work on cleaning the back bedroom, little by little. It's quite a mess, and trying to do it all at once would be too disheartening. The basement is an order of magnitude worse, and will require sustained effort over time. It doesn't exactly look we just threw it all down the steps, but it's close.
I'm embarking on a new attempt to watch what I eat and get more exercise. I may even drag my wide behind over to the gym. All in all, I'm in pretty good spirits.
