2006-06-02 - 8:33 a.m. Woo! Woo woo!The Canes won the Eastern Conference Championship last night, defeating the Buffalo Sabres in Game 7. It was close, all the way through the series. In fact, I spent the last eight minutes of the game yelling, "Go, clock, go!" Starting Monday, they will play the Edmonton Oilers for the Stanley Cup. I'll be there on Wednesday. I hope no one expects much from me on Thursday, because I'm going to be worthless. I'm pretty worn out today, and I watched last night's game on tv. I did, in fact, go to all those downtown events last weekend, and had a great time. The farmer's market wasn't so great - no farmers, you see. Still, May's a little early for local produce, so I have hopes for June. The Memorial Day ceremony and subsequent Glory Days festival was marvelous. I have been going to the gym faithfully, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Memorial Day, I made sure to go in the early afternoon, as the gym closed early. I'm determined. Today I will work shoulders. The elliptical is sufficient lower-body training (at least for now), but I need to work on my upper body strength. I may try the Pilates class that is held in a different gym on post, to increase my core strength. My back is almost always sore, and that ain't good. I believe it stems from my poor posture, mostly. I called the doctor this morning, and I have an appointment this afternoon to see about my back. TGIF!
