2006-12-03 - 6:57 p.m. The party was a great success, as usual. We have a lot of really great friends, and almost all of them showed up, along with a few people we hardly know at all. The house was packed tight, everyone had lots to eat, and the gift exchange appeared to be a success from my position at the back of the crowd. I got a cool book for David. Today I have watched a movie (Spirited Away, wonderful) and done very little else. And that is as it should be. I have a very full week ahead of me. Tomorrow and Tuesday, I have to be a booth bunny, such as it is, for our booth at a convention. I wonder if the bosses would mind if I took my knitting along. Conventions are so boring, once you've walked around and picked up the available swag. There are always long lulls punctuated by occasional traffic in between meetings. Deerslayer (heh) goes to the body shop tomorrow morning, followed by the rental car thing, then I'll be able to drive out to the convention. I have no idea how long they will need to fix the car - it's mainly replacement of parts, like the fender, bumper and hood. I was going to go to an AA meeting in Sanford, but I have only one headlight, and in cold and rainy out. I'm going to a meeting here in town, instead. I missed a lot of them while David was here, and while getting ready for the party, so I have to get back to a routine. I can feel myself getting cranky and hyper-critical. (Normally I'm just plain critical.)
