Another long day - I took the dog and cat to the vet first thing this morning for their annual rabies shots.The dog was fine, of course, but the cat peed in her crate on the way there. I put a towel in with her for just such a possibility. At the vet, I just grabbed her and the towel, slid her out for her shot, and slid her right back in the crate. Once we got home, I took her to the bathroom and hosed her off in the shower. Insult added to injury, right there, but I had to do something.
After that, I worked a full day at the conference, then went to the office and prepped materials for another program next week. I have to report for jury duty tomorrow, and have no idea how long I'll be needed for that, so I wanted to get as much done as possible. I'll go back tomorrow (after jury duty lets out) to put the rest of it together.
Oh, hmm, never mind. I just looked at the summons - it gives a number to call the night before service. I called just now, and all jurors for that date are excused, and that concludes my jury service for two years. Okay, then.
I've got a new pattern for baby blankets, and worked on one while at the conference. Quite a few people came up to talk to me about, ask questions, and tell me they could never do it. Pshaw, of course you can! Anyway, I got quite a bit done, about a third of the blanket. I have two orders after this one, both for the original pattern (a shell stitch). Some friends are expecting next year, I don't know which pattern they will want. My boss wants me to make a scarf in our company colors at next year's conference, to be raffled off. He's awfully nice to let me sit at the booth (damn heel's still bad) and even nicer to let me crochet.
