No love for the workplace today. It's the same old stuff: we're working full tilt, then they make it harder and harder to get the work done, and expect us to smile graciously. Thank you sir, may I have another?
They're moving me and some other people to another building. This will increase my daily mileage, and increase the time and effort it takes me to accomplish my main tasks. This comes at the same time that they are increasing the number of programs we're offering. Hurrah. They are shocked, shocked, that we are not cheerful about this development.
Of course they cannot possibly hire another person, there's no money (except the big wad they spent buying more property, the occasion of our impending move).
I told my boss that I will do the best I can. This afternoon, the best I could do was zip my lip, close my door, and wait for 5 o'clock.
