Today was our division holiday party, which included a Secret Santa gift exchange and a buttload of food. I got a bookstore gift card, which is what I put on the "suggestion" list. I bought my gift before I even knew who it was going to - a coffee cup and four samplers of cocoa. It was well-received.
Tomorrow is another party, plus that cake contest. I made some gingerbread cookies for the morning Tour of Doors. They have a door decorating contest every year, and they serve cookies and hot cider to start the day off right: with plenty of sugar. I don't plan to attend, but the boss sent out a request for cookie donations, so I pitched in.
I've gotten a lot of my backlog caught up at work, which is great. I'm trying to get some things ready for next year. Every little bit helps.
I have to admit that I'm really not excited about work, or the holiday, or anything. I'm just going along. Sleepwalking.
