Another warm sunny day. I can't complain, it beats rain, snow, or ice. I did a little baking, wrote some holiday cards. The power went out this morning, so I went to Walmart to get a few things. By the time I got back, the power was back on. No idea what happened there.
I watched Richard Pryor video this afternoon. He did an extensive impersonation of a junkie, which was amazing. He clearly knew what he was talking about. People in the audience laughed now and then, but eventually, even the drunks hushed up. Otherwise, there were some funny parts. It seems in hindsight that much of his act was based on his use of extreme cursing when it was not so common. These days, it's not that shocking to hear someone use "motherfucker" as a verbal tic. And that's a sentence I wish I'd never composed.
Tonight, I drove out to Sanford with another person to go to a meeting. It was good, as usual. It's 45 minutes one way, but it's worth it.
