I got the wrapping done this morning, went to a noon meeting, and drove up to my folks' house. On the way there, I got a phone call from one of the guys in the meeting - he was fixing to drink, and called several people before reaching me. I talked to him for a while. He may well have taken that drink, but it sure was good for me to have that conversation. It helps me remember where I'll end up if I decide I don't need AA anymore, for one thing.
My cousins had a lovely holiday party, with lots of delicious food and good company. I've missed this party year after year for one reason or the next, and I'm glad I got to go this year.
David called this evening - I hadn't heard from him in a few days, so it was nice to hear his voice. Our wedding anniverary was earlier in the week, our third. We've had two together (counting the actual wedding) and two apart. I'm a lucky woman. He's fine, just cold, and looking forward to coming home in about three months. I'm looking forward to it, too!
