A very domestic day. I made cookies, did a ton of laundry, watched a movie (Top Hat, with Astaire & Rogers), took the car for an oil change, picked up packages fron the post office, walked the dog, went to a meeting.
The cookies are Chocolate Peppermint Bar Cookies, from Epicurious. They're quite good, and simple to make, up until the end. The dough is extremely stiff, and it's hard to spread it in the pan. I ended up buttering my hands and smooshing it down that way.
I've started another commissioned baby blanket. This is for a co-worker's grandbaby, due in May. I have to get hers done early, beause there's one more in the queue. I should charge for these, that might cut down on the popularity some.
Hard to believe the year's almost over. Change is inevitable: let's hope 2007 brings positive change.
