I had to do one more thing to that dress. Actually, I did less than I had planned - I was going to topstitch all around the armholes to hold the lining down, but instead I stitched the lining to the seam allowance. That will help hold it down, but doesn't show on the outside.
The event I'm going to will have a feast in the evening. At SCA events, one brings one's own feast gear (plates, forks, cups, everything), so I got that stuff out. I got out a couple of baskets to carry things in, to avoid the modern tote bag.
I'm taking the sock project and the baby blanket. Knitting with double pointed needles is hard on my hands, and I may need to work on something else for a while. The baby blanket is crochet, which is more modern than SCA time, but people are tolerant of it.
And now, I must get some dang sleep. I've been up late the past couple of days, and I can really feel it. The days of staying up late and getting up early are going fast - I can get away with it once but not twice, and three times is just foolhardy.
Old age ain't for sissies.
